Liquid Eyeliner: Lancome VS L’oreal
In this post I’m going to do reviews about two liquid liners: Lancome Artliner and L’oreal Lineur Intense liquid eyeliner.
Basically, the two products are so much alike. They have similar black, simple packaging, similar size and even similar applicator. Their applicators are made of sponge instead of regular fine liner brush. I personally really like the applicator, because it’s easier to apply with. With the sponge applicator, it is easier to draw a thin, neat line. So, people who are new or having a hard time applying liquid liner, eyeliners with sponge applicators are the obvious choice.
I’ve had Lancome Artliner for a while. I had a hard time trying to find a liquid liner that does not smudge and stays all day on my eyes, until I found this eyeliner. This product is simply amazing. Besides its applicator, it is really pigmented, does not smudge at all and stays all day long. However, it’s a little expensive ($30) and I did not think I could repurchase this product over and over again even though I like it very much.
One day, I was shopping at Target until a friend of mine saw this eyeliner from L’oreal called Lineur Intense. It has the exact same applicator as the Lancome Artliner. As it was only $8, I immediately purchased and tried it. Lineur Intense is a great eyeliner. However, it is not as pigmented as Artliner. Also it does not stay on your eyes as long as Artliner, it kind of fades away after a few hours.
As you can see from the picture of the swatches above, you can barely distinguish the two products. Even though I think Lancome Artliner is a better product, I still highly recommend L’oreal Lineur Intense, because basically they are the same product, only Artliner has better quality (money speaks for itself, really). If you plan to wear eyeliner for only a few hours, then L’oreal Lineur Intense is definitely worth your every penny.
Which product you’re getting, girls? xx Kath
